This bottled water became an instant success in the US

I recently took my wife and two children to a newly opened restaurant in our hometown over the weekend.

The online reviews were positive, so we decided to give it a try. I was drawn to the restaurant’s village-style theme. Since I can’t experience village life in person, I thought it would be fun to enjoy some village food and a cozy atmosphere.

On arrival, I was captivated by the restaurant’s décor and attention to detail. Their kitchen lacked fancy equipment; instead, they used traditional utensils like earthen pots and iron pans for cooking. The plates were made of iron, and the spoons were crafted from wood.

The restaurant was bustling, with the sounds of dishes being swiftly prepared in the kitchen and nearly every seat occupied.

We ordered several items, but the garlic soup was exceptionally tasty.

“Well, I hope you enjoyed our village food and the atmosphere,” said the waiter with a warm smile. “Do you have any feedback?”

“Ah! The food was delicious. However, I’ve a question,” I said, scratching my forehead. “Why did the owner of this restaurant choose a village style? It seems like a great idea.”

“Having been born and raised in a village, he quickly missed his simple life there after leaving for higher studies in a nearby city. After earning his finance degree, he found a job at a bank. Even though he was doing well financially, he yearned for the comfort of his village. He noticed many others felt the same, tired of processed food and longing for fresh village meals in a familiar setting.”

“Alright, he wanted to bring a taste of village life to the city—delivered right to your home!” I said, laughing.

“But it’s not just about taste; it’s about the experience,” the waiter said softly. “We sell experiences, not just food.”

Fiji Water: The bottled water selling an experience

Fiji Water is a bottled water brand that was launched in 1996 and quickly rose to become the second best-selling bottled water in the US.

What sets it apart from others is that it’s imported directly from Fiji’s largest island, Viti Levu.

Fiji water’s tagline is “Earth’s finest water.” This is because it comes from the mountains and forests of Fiji, where the water is:

  • Free from chemicals
  • Naturally filtered through rocks
  • High in minerals like potassium and magnesium

People choose Fiji Water not only for its health benefits but mainly because they enjoy the refreshing experience of water sourced from Fiji’s natural mountains and forests while relaxing in the US.

Fiji Water offers a truly natural experience, sourced directly from forests and mountains, unlike regular bottled water brands that are produced in factories.

It’s all about the experience.
